| These are done in 'Wash-Out' technique. It is a long & unpredictable process, which is what gives it appeal - you never know quite what you are going to get. It involves painting a coat of gouache where you want to keep whites, once dry paint entire paper with a coat of india ink. Once dry, wash away, & you will be left with black in an effect almost print-like. Add colour as you wish. |
