Although a graphic artist by trade, these pages are all in fun. Sarah works in various media, colour pencil, watercolour, collage, woodcuts, photography...they are all different ways to convey a feeling for a subject or place. She is extremely disappointed at the discontinuation of Polaroid instant film, and hopes another company will take it on for all who use it and love the experimental processes so vey much...
Sarah lives near Montreal, and her love of nature comes from Bark Lake, Quebec. She and her sister, Joan and family have a special bond with the Lake, their grandparents built their cottage there in 1933...their parents built in the late 50's.There is still a simplicity; no hydro, no roads, no phone...this paring down switches the emphasis of the days to the Lake and its surroundings. |
